I have been away for a little while and not really as active as I would like to be with setting up new sites, getting our flagship site ready for a huge update and getting a new job. Well, things are getting back in order and it is time this site gets a little more focus/love.
First things first, mods were picked for a reason, and I stand behind their decisions. The warning system is in place ultimately to stop member on member bashing, excessive bashing that is. I am not going to get into specific examples, because honestly, I don't care. If you were issued a warning, deal with it and move on. It really is not the end of the world. If you REALLY care about this site, just take the warning for what it is and move forward. Ultimate, if you have a problem with the warning, PM me. I get PM notifications directly to my phone and can discuss any issues ASAP.
Yes, the motto of this site is "Come Strong or Don't Come at All". This is still the case. As I have stated before, "OMG you are just a massive douchebag and all your opinions are just retarded/stupid." How is that coming strong? How is that helpful to SRM? Are new users going to come along, look at that and go, "Yup, I want to be a part of this." Our ultimate goal for this site is to grow; grow in content and grow in users. The secondary goal is to give users a voice where they normally wouldn't have one relating to sports.
This site is a family which has MANY members and opinions. It is going to be IMPOSSIBLE to make everyone happy so we just do the best we can. Some will stay, some will go, either way, SRM will continue on and I will continue to run/promote the site. Help me make this site great. I can't do it on my own...

Obviously a great post of where things stand.
I would also like to add...
Ask questions about things that you aren't certain about. If you receive a warning or infraction, talk to the mod who gave it, or talk to a super moderator. The idea is that the posters are supposed to have a voice, not only in sports, but also in the way things are run. How many things has Rob implemented here based on user requests? Believe it or not, your opinion does matter. But many of you strangle out your own voice by approaching things the wrong way.
Ask questions, the moderators want this place to be successful and have a vested interest in how posters are treated. In the end, some rules have to be established in order to provide the site with an environment most conducive to growth. Those rules won't always be popular, but they are always created with the best interests of the site (and posters) in mind. 95% of the time it's about using common sense and respecting everyone involved.

I wanted to pre-emptively clear the air on a topic I raised. After tendering my resignation as NFL mod to avoid the appearance of impropriety, I received multiple requests to reconsider that decision. After a period of contemplation, I am willing to stand on my record and posts. I will remain as I am but will endeavor to try to resolve any and all grievances as fairly and directly as I can. I realize I am far from perfect and not outside the realm of criticism.
