Who else is dealing with this? This is bananas. I went to college out in western Maryland, and I don't know if we ever saw anything like this. I just shoveled out for the third time today. Time to take a breather and drink some brews.

My wife says that you're not supposed to drink and shovel, so I've stopped shoveling for a while too. I've done it a few times myself, but I still haven't got the whole driveway once. Just reshoveling the parts I've done and getting a little bit more each time. Haven't touched the stairs yet either - I think I want to go down on a sled first.
It's insane out there. I was told to dig out the heatpumps, so I waded into the area between my house and my neighbors - nearly waist deep in spots, and it's still coming down hard. Lots of projects with the kids, but so far they're not crazy and I still have plenty of beer. And they don't notice a little grand marnier in their grape juice.

It occured to me it might be wise to dig out the dryer vent, too, but I'm not in charge of the laundry here so I won't borrow tomorrow's troubles just yet. Neighbor said 70% of Gaithersburg is without power. No DirecTV here. Mrs. Swift was watching some Netflix Dexter earlier, but appears to be asleep right now. That Netflix Watch Instantly stuff is the bomb.

In philly we have about 27 inches on the ground. Such a pain in the balls but like you guys i was throwing down some landsharks while digging out our driveway, side walk, and both of our cars.

I got lucky here in Jersey. We missed out on 5-8 inches. DC is a mess. I was watching 'Nova/Gtown and I saw Nova had to get out of their bus and walk to the Verizon Center the snow on the roads was that bad

Yeah we did... I like the snow and had off for both storms so i dont mind it. I just hate when the wifey gets on me to shovel us out.... I was recovering from a hangover this morning and said fuck it and started throwing a few more back

I remember that one, it was brutal. It was also the year before I went to a private high school so I had to make up all of those days in the summer for public school. The following 4 years we had the most mild winters I had seen, finally get to not have to make up snow days and mother nature pulls that bullshit. |

Home for clean socks... One of my larger accounts cleanup bill is at $28,000 and growing since Fri afternoon... A mid scale shopping center, not even a "mall"...
Total billing for this storm company wide could reach $250,000 by Mon...
Now im just hoping i dont have a repeat of last year when i spent super sunday hauling snow out all afternoon and night... Hopefully they will wait to Mon night to start... |

I am in Niagara Falls for a wedding... we got some flurries... but it is colder than Eskimo pussy out there... nothing to keep me from walking to the casino though.
