French people don't work, they cry for Americans to do that for them, just like saving their ass while they're planting trees so the nazis had shade.

Half of me wants to move to France to know I could kick anyone in the county's ass. The other half wants to kick my own ass for wanting to move to France.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we all had the same opinions.

How dare she points out that Europe is older and we have a more of a electronic gadget dependent lifestyle. I mean really what was she thinking.

We should akin this to "Hanoi Jane" started calling her "Barcelona Paltrow"

I don't need advice on culture/taste from an actress whose most famous role is as a fat chick in Shallow Hal. That won some Oscars didn't it?

Seriously, I don't care one iota about what she said. I just wonder why she's famous?

I don't think anyone has a problem with what she said. I just find it a joke that she is famous or the one saying it.

It would be like me telling my mom how to cook. (Well that made sense in my head). I have no business even talking about cooking.

So why is she so unqualified to say Europe has older buildings and we are addicted to gadgets? We are not allowed to babble about nonsense anymore? Where are you coming from that she has no right or qualifications?

She is just spewing stuff out of her mouth. This most certainly isn't thread worthy nor saying she is not qualified to talk about differences between two countries.

Why does she have no rights or qualifications to speak on this?

1. She's a woman
2. She's a woman
3. Her best role was in Shallow Hal
4. She named a kid Apple
5. Her husband is in Coldplay

I know she wants to consider herself some quasi-intellectual bohemian that knows the finer points of architecture, sociology, and history; but she's a simpleton that makes bad movies and is probably best known for blowing Brad Pitt.

I don't think there should be an uproar over what she said. She has all the right to say it. I just don't know why it was covered. I don't know why I'm wasting my time on this thread or this no-talent asshat. Let me guess she posted these thoughts on Twitter from her Blackberry for the grand opening of some swank nightclub in LA.

I agree in principle but this is nothing to get excited about.

Besides, you don't get accepted into Harvard because you're a simpleton. Sorry, but that doesn't happen. Even I gave props to Bush for getting into Yale. Dumb people don't get into schools of that nature without having the marks and brains.

You guys are silly. Really, I just thought that what she said was vapid and funny. "In the U.S., an old building is like, 17. In Spain, it's like, 500 B.C." Come on, that's funny. "Things are so much more relaxed comared to New York." No shit. So is L.A. But I digress. I obviously touched a nerve here. I had no idea you all were so sweet on her. I'll stop. The title of the thread, again, I was just trying to be funny. And Sstags, if it's not thread worthy, then why are we already on page 2? But again, I digress. And Living, she's a famous actress because her parents are actors. That is all. Obviously, it's not for her acting abilities or knack for picking good screenplays. Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, for crying out loud. I hear they used to show that at Abu Giraib.

They were going to use Gigli, but Guantanomo had that film.
